Linkedin is a great way to connect professionally with former colleagues and classmates, but beyond the site's standard use you also have the (fairly hidden) option to export your LinkedIn connections' contact information. Once exported, you can import your LinkedIn connection to your main contact database to expedite your marketing efforts. Follow these steps to export your LinkedIn Connects: 1. Log in to your LinkedIn account. 2. Click Contacts at the top of your home page. 3. Click Export connections link in the bottom right corner of the page. 4. Select your contace management system from the Export to dropdown menu. *Hint, if your contact management system is not listed, the Miscrosoft Outlook (.CSV file) option is your best bet. 5. Click Export. 6. Complete the Security Verification. 7. Save the file in a location where you can easily frind it, like the Desktop. The resulting excel spreadsheet will include your contacts' full name, email address, current employer, and position, and can then be imported into your contact management system. |
